Been working in UAE since March 2008. Non-resident in UK for tax purposes since April 2008. If return to UK, say in August 2010, will I have any liability to pay tax in 2010 on UAE earnings April 10 to date of leaving UAE? No earnings in UK.

Answer:
No, you will have been non-resident from March 2008 to Aug 2010 and so not liable to tax on your worldwide earnings.
