Can anyone advise me on where and % of tax I need to pay tax if I live in France, but work in UK (no UK home)?
-
Long term, I'd like to think about working full time in London, but live in Lille. I need some advice and an idea about tax issues if I live in France and work in the UK but have no home in England - just France. I'm married (should that make a difference) to a Frenchman who works in Paris. Thanks for any advice you can offer - even if it's to point me in the direction of to whom I need to speak on both sides of the pond!!

Answer:
Hi It is a question of residence. If you are resident, you will have to make a tax declaration. The French will calculate total tax due, less tax paid in UK. Note that you and your husbands income will be combined. Residence is a question of arithmetic. Over 183 days and you are resident. You need to talk to both a UK and French accountant. Bonne chance Peter
