How do you work out shipping costs and other charges? Please help!?

Basically i live in the UK and i want to purchase this item; http://www.tanninglotiontoday.com/servlet/the-339/Pauly-D-Lip-Buddy/Detail Its just a lip balm for $4.99 but it cant be purchased over here so i'v found this and it lets me pay by paypal so im more than happy to be honest. Can anyone read and try and work out shipping charges or taxes which maybe implemented onto the charge as i really dont understand it? Is it just a $4.99 then its all good or once it arrives to i have to pay the postman or go to a post office and pay any charges. When i was ready to check out on paypal all the charges according to that are $4.99 that is all? Thanks so much!!

Most websites should have a section on them stating postage somewhere, though this one doesn't appear to. But if $4.99 was all you were charged when checking out in Paypal, then I wouldn't usually expect to pay anything further for shipping - usually shipping costs are added on before you pay. For future reference, shipping will usually be stated somewhere before you pay for the item, so you will know before paying how much it will cost in total. As for extra charges when the item reaches the UK, that depends on how much it costs. For any items valued at over £15, or over £40 if marked as a gift, you will need to pay customs duties and tax . Just be aware of that in future, as it can end up costing quite a large amount. As this item is only $4.99, you shouldn't need to pay anything extra. Hope that helps a little!
