How does insurance claim works?

If a british citizen works abroad, pays UK tax and insurance, upon returning and applying to claim jobseekers?

  • would that person be liable to be classed as an immigrant as the Job Club have claimed? very strange rule!!

  • Answer:

I worked abroad for a few years, I paid no income tax and my National Insurance contrbutions were considerably reduced. I remained a British citizen throughout and so am entitled to all such benefits, as you should be, as you have paid the insurance
