What does "H/B LEAV" mean on my payslip?
-
Have just quit tesco a few days ago and have been sent my payslip in the post. On it I have my base rate pay, and then I also have H/B LEAV on it also which is the exact same amount as my base rate. This means I am being paid double what I would normally get and i'm not sure whether or not its due to me leaving or whether it is a mistake. Have looked at the tesco website to find out more but there is no explanation/description on the sample payslip which you can download. I'm not exactly complaining about being paid double, just hesitant incase its a mistake which would end up with me having to pay it back.

Answer:
You were paid for vacation time you didn't use most likely. When you leave a company and have unused time off that you are entitled to, they will give you the pay for it since you don't work there anymore and won't be taking time off...
