How do you find out who made a website?

How do I find answers to queries made by me on CBEC website regarding Service Taxes imposed by Finance Act?

  • I had made Queries which were registered as Question ID 1119 and 1165 regarding liability imposed in recently passed ACT on joint owners of Commercial Property from this Financial year but am still awaiting a reply and not able to access the website again as I forgot Link! Can anyone help?

  • Answer:

    It takes either very long or you hardly get individual replies from the site. At times, when there are plenty of questions on similar topic, the department use to issue clarification by way of circulars or public notification. Our revenue authorities are not that responsive or their is sheer absence of professionalism - an absolute hard core bureaucracy.

The service tax on commercial renting is likely to be in force with effect from 1st June 2007.However, rent below Rs 8 lakh in a financial year will not be subject to service tax as you are entitled to small scale exemption from servce tax if value of all taxable services provided is below 8 lakh in one financial year under Service Tax Notification No. 4/2007 on the link below http://allindiantaxes.com/st_noti_2007_main1.php
