Can i get tanf while waiting for unemployment extension?

• So I have been unemployed for six months. My Unemployment just ran out. I have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for a extension. The problem is i may not qualify for the extension and i need to pay my electric bill next week. I have had no luck finding a job and literally applied at over a 125 places. I get interviews but never any calls back because others have more experience. I want to take advantage of dshs schooling opportunity's. I don't know if i can get cash assistance while waiting for a extension. I live in Washington and i tried to call dshs today and i waited on hold for 2 hours and my phone died. Anything will help at this point.

  Apply and find out. If you eventually get unemployment for that timeframe, you might have to pay some of the tanf back though. Go to the office - might be easier than waiting on the phone.
