How long does it take for Direct Deposit to kick in?

Does anyone know how long H and R Block will take to deposit my refund.?

  • IRS WMR states deposit scheduled 01/31/12 I received an email today from H and R Block stating: The IRS has notified us that your tax refund is ready to be transferred to H&R Block Bank. As a result, H&R Block Bank has initiated the process to deposit your Refund Deposit Account proceeds* into your bank account. This process is usually completed within 2-3 business days, but could take additional time, depending on your bank's direct deposit process. Check with your bank to confirm the deposit. H&R Block can't be held liable for the exact date of deposit of your refund. Confirm that your refund has been deposited into your bank account prior to using these funds.

  • Answer:

H and r blocks website states my refund has been applied however its not on my card yet so probably midnight. Check their website at h and r block.

I asked the Bank.. They said if you took one of their small refund loans out ( the ones under 1000) then it can take up to 24 hours before you get your refund since they have to take the money out of it to pay off your loan. If you didnt take one out they said up to 5 hours before it will post to your account after they receive it.
