How do I deal with taxes?

We had our taxes prepared the preparer used someone elses name and id. no.How should we deal with this?

• The preparer had already submitted our taxes electronically when we realized he was using a fake name. He also signed us up for a extra we did not want, however we were refunded for that. I have since learned he did not pass his test so the co. was letting him use the name and no. of other people. This guy tried to use 3 different names and we caught him each time. He also refused to show us a id, he said he didn't carry one. He finally said his boss told him to use the other names , we do have witnesses as to what happened. We also had a couple of deductions we don't think he claimed for us. I'm thinking they should at least refund our money for all we went thru. We have a appt. with another company tues to have our returns checked over by their competition. I keep thinking this dishonest person has access to all our info, bank account #, soc. sec.# name address ect.. I sure would appreciate advice, thanks in advance!

  OMG!!! I'd call the IRS, or stop by their local office, and report the situation. Did you talk to the manager of the office? Yes, they sure should refund your money. If all you said is really the case, then they'll be shut down by the IRS and possibly prosecuted. Good luck.
