How can I get a copy of my permanent school record?

I need a copy of a current property tax bill from my landlord to show the school, where can I get a copy?

    You've probably got a couple options... 1. Wait 3 months and the landlord will get another bill for you to copy. 2. Go to your cities website and look it up(I provided an example for the people who live on the corner below). 3. Go to the city assessors office(with your landlord) and get a copy from them(probably also cost you 50 bucks).

Property tax records are public records. The school automatically knows if the property is in their district and whether taxes are paid or not. Your entitlement to use the school is based upon the address of the property, irrespective of whether or not the landlord paid the taxes. If you live in the tax district that funds the school, the school cannot deny attendance whether the taxes are paid or are not paid.

The school can't request the property tax bill from a renter. Provide them a copy of your lease and a utility bill in your name along with photo i.d. to enroll your child.

only your landlord can get additional copies it is hard to believe the landlord would not have his copies available since he needs them to determine his rental income on his taxes--I think he is probably giving you the run around

The landlord can get a copy from the assessors office, but you can't get it.
