How long does it take to get an unemployment check in florida?

• I filed for unemployment on 6/30/10 and made my 1st claim on the 7/12/10. I still have not received any payments. I am scheduled to claim again on 7/26/10. I am wondering how long does it take? When I called and spoke w/ a rep they said that it was being reviewed i was discharged from my previous employer and this process can take up t 4-6 wks. I asked was it denied and they stated that it wasn't. So now that it's almost a month, I'm wondering if this a normal process? Is this a good sign that my unemployment will get approved?

  Your case more than likely had to go through the adjudication unit which they will tell you it will take more than four to six weeks. You may want to call someone in Authority and have them review your case or have someone else review your case and provide you with a date which you should receive your 1st check. That is ridiculous! While people are over here starving and stuff (you can get food stamps, although that will not put gas in your vehicle if you have one) they are over here playing. They just have to determine if you were fired for misconduct. Let me know if you want to contact someone in Authority and I will assist you the best way I can.
