Am I eligible for unemployment extension, NJ?

Will there be an extension on unemployment in NJ soon?

• My extension ran out, and I have no money to pay the rent for November. I look every day for a job, and cant find one. I need help soon. I hope there is an extension soon.

  There is a 2nd extension in the works but the senate has to meet on this and that is not planned until towards the end of this month. when they do, they may or may not make a decision. if it does get passed, it will most definitely take a few weeks for it to be set up and then each state will start sending letters out to people who qualify. your asking about an extension in NJ. it doesnt work like that. this is a nationwide thing and then each state just processes it in their own mannor. NJ cant do anything until senate has thier meeting and then it is presented to the President to sign. Then each state gets the ok to do the extension. Extensions are federally funded not stae funded. You will 100% not see a 2nd extension in November. More like February id expect... if it gets passed. Nj has nothing to do with wether or not it happens. The government has to ok it and then... each state will get the ok to send out the letters. Hang int here. It will probably happen but not just yet.
