When should I receive my rebate money?

Tax rebate?

  • i've seen different dates scheduled for the tax rebate schedule (direct deposit). direct deposit people are getting their rebate checks starting this week. MSN MONEY listed all direct deposit are to be made BY may 2nd, while the news report today on YAHOO has my rebate arriving by may 16th. my ss# ends in XX93. i know i'm one of the last people to receive the rebate because my high ss #, but still confused on WHEN i'm going to receive it?

    Tax Rebate The federal government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China. If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs. If we purchase a computer it will go to India. If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan. If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan... and none of it will help the American economy. The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy prostitutes, weed, beer, and tattoos, since these are the only products still produced in the USA. Thank you for your help & please support the US. God Bless America What are you going to do with your tax rebate?

Join the club. The media, Bush, the IRS should have been a bit more educated before telling everyone that payments are being made early. I don't thinkl they realize that people who actually qualify for this are really counting on these extra funds now and it has seemed like ages we have had to wait already. The internet is sending out conflicting information. Lets just hope for all our sakes that MSN Money is correct and all direct deposits will be made by 5/2/08. Don't count on it though! = (

Exactly, I am confused too. It makes no sense since I am still getting on the same schedule. Mine ends in XX85 and I think the old schedule was May 16th also and I will probably get it on that same day with the new schedule. This is stupid!
