Tax refund Direct Deposit?

We usually get direct deposit for tax refund.just wondering if irs will deduct back taxes from refund w/o dela

  • that is without delay. It usually takes 2 weeks for direct deposit. I am just wondering if our refund will be delayed. not sure exactly what happened with the taxes...kind of messed up..but after review we agreed to pay it (to those who think we are scammers--not so--just family of 6) Anyways...we just are curious if when they deduct our back taxes for 2005, if that will cause a delay in our direct deposit refund??

They keep garnishing my return until i have paid my back taxes all back. SWINES. Don't look forward to a return until you have paid them back in full. This includes the HUGE interest they charge you too. SWINES.

If you just found out that you owe for 2005 taxes...most likely it was the IRS that informed you of that via a letter. You will not get a refund of any taxes until you pay what you owe them. Any refunds in future years tax returns will go toward what you owe...they will keep the refund. I suggest that you call the IRS immediately and make arrangements to pay what you owe as soon as possible. The longer it takes you to pay the balance off, the more interest you pay, because the IRS keeps adding interest. If you don't make the first move....they will go as far as garnish your pay.

Yes, it will delay your direct deposit. Usually will delay it a week or so longer than when it's scheduled to go in. So, at least three weeks.
