I was supposed to get an IRS refund on Jan 28, now it says delayed until Feb 8? Anyone else have this happen?

A direct deposit to your personal checking account or did you pay the high fees to a company and the funds are being deposited to the account that they chose to use so they could collect the charges and fees and then they will deposit the remaining amount of your refund to your account card or bank account as that process adds days to your refund processing time and it it NOT caused by the IRS. I, too, should have received my refund on January 28 but then got a message alerting me there had been a processing delay. I called the IRS and was told that they found a small error on my return and it was sent to the "errors and resolutions department" where it was corrected and sent back to processing. Actually, my return was correct but the Social Security Administration has my new son's birth date wrong.

I'm in the same boat! I used turbo tax, same program I've used for years. Imported all my info from last year. No significant changes and mine was delayed too. I'm hoping and praying that ours will be there by the 8th.
