Last year, I got a $230 state tax refund, I report that this year on Federal, correct?
-
I never received a Tax Form from my state this year about last years tax refund, but I'm going through a tax program and it's asking about a State Income Tax Refund document. I am supposed to be reporting my 2010 State Income Tax refund on my 2011 Federal Taxes?

Answer:
If you did not itemize from the previous year, you would not report your State refund, it is non- taxable.
