Why has the IRA delayed processing my tax refund? Am I going to get an Audit?
-
When I went to the IRA website to check on the status of my refucd I got this message: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Your expected refund date has been changed due to processing delays. You should receive your refund by May 1, 2012. Please wait until that date to contact us again because we cannot take any action until then. Thank you for your patience.

Answer:
not likely the IRA has anything to do with your refund if you haven't noticed all refunds for this year are delayed and that does not mean an audit and audit of 2011 tax return could happen anytime within the next two years
