Where can I get a copy of my last year's tax form?

If I request a copy of my tax form, will I get a copy of all the information that was on the W2 forms too?

  • I sent in my 1040A and lost my state W2 forms! I need the information from the W2's to file my state taxes. If I request a copy of the transcripts from IRS, will it have all the information from the W2's I sent?

    I believe you have to get your W2 information from your employer you only get Tax forms from the IRS.

you can get a copy of your w2 from your employer.

It would be a lot easier to request a replacement copy of your W-2 from your employer. Employers are required by law to keep W-2s on record. It should be no problem for them to provide an additional copy to you.
