I filed Bankruptcy and I'm waiting discharge, will I get my tax refund?
-
I had no assets to distribute and the trustee did not mention it, but I know someone who filed before I did and the trustee told them they would not get a refund. I filed 8/10/2005, but because of the hurricane it was delayed. My meeting of creditors was March 3rd and I'm currently awaiting discharge, will I get my refund? I filed yesterday.

Answer:
You may just get part of it ... My son is filing soon too, his lawyer said they would get to keep $800 of the tax return. My wife filed a few years ago, and it was kind of the same with her, she didn't get it all but she got like half.
