IRS Reference Code 1301, Repaying Homebuyer credit... anyone received their refund? Has your WMR updated?

Same for me. I did take the 2008 FTHB credit (the one you have to repay) and I am getting error 1301. My original refund date was set to 3/4/11, but now it just says 1301 and no new date. I'm not going to call since it sounds like its a waste of time. Ill just forget about it and move on until i get a nice surprise in my account. I had no delays last year and from what I cant tell code 1301 just means delayed...but it's not suposed to mean anything significant. It's like the infamous 777 code for DirecTV FYI, I am repaying ~$600 of the Home Buyer Credit...not sure if that helps anyone here though.

I had a date of 2/25, then 3/1, then 1301 error code turned up on 3/1. I don't have anything going on with the homebuyer credit. I called on 3/1 and was asked questions about whether I had just bought a house-which I haven't. I was told they have a different address listed for me but the agent wouldn't tell me what it was. Then she said my return was already cleared and out of the review status department, everything was fine, and I would have my refund in 7-10 more days. WMR still shows 1301 error code. Needless to say I'm very confused and very frustrated.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I had a refund date of 3/1, when that passed I called and a rep told me that it was in the ERS and when I asked him what that meant he said he couldn't tell me! I asked for a supervisor only to be told that wait for at least two weeks before asking anymore questions. Isn't this supposed to be the new improved IRS? So I called yesterday during normal business hours spoke to a young man that told me things were held up because if you filed different schedules then they had to put a stop on everything, because they weren't ready by the 16th of February due to Congress! They hadn't gotten all the bugs worked out before accepting filings, and so this has upset the entire system. And the expected refund was still 144 days away!!!! Thanks for nothing IRS.

I don't have a repaying homebuyer credit going on, but since I itemized and submitted my form at the end of January and then found out that it would not be submitted by Tax Act until the 14th of Feb. I waited and then on the 16th saw that I should have the refund by the 25th, then Mar 1st. March 2nd no refund and I get the 1301 code. Well to my surprise and happiness I check early this morning and had a date of March 22! Well after then my wife check this evening and now the IRS tool is reporting that they have no information on my return!!!! Man what a pain in the neck. I really don't want to call because I have a very low tolerance for BS'd and hearing five different answers from five different IRS reps. All I know is that this is totally unacceptable and will most differently change the way I pay my taxes during the year. As a good American I never minded paying more through out the year. I figured that the extra money I pay would not hurt me and the government would just refund me any extra that I overpaid. Well this year I have learned my lesson. The government might not appreciate the extra money I lend them interest free through out the year, but I really do want my money that I overpay.

Just wanted to post to let you all know there must be lots in the same boat. I am as well. 1301 code and also have the 2008 homebuyer credit. It must be the reason. I was first supposed to get my refund on 2/25 and then said 3/1. Now just says processing with the code 1301. I called a week ago but not going to even bother at this point.

I have exactly the same thing going on as y'all. Feb 25th turned into March 1 and then into the 1301 error. I have a big refund coming and I need that money bad. I am a single mom of 4! This is getting out of hand. They say hopefully by March 11 but I have little assurance that will happen.

I am in the same boat as you folks. I am repaying the Homebuyers credit and was to get a refund 2/25. Now I have a code 1301 and am still waiting for an update. I hope the first person to receive their refund reports back here to fill the rest of us in.

I am in the same boat!!! same situation as you repaying had march 1st date then changed to the 1301 errror code. when yous.. call they have no idea. they cant tell you anything. sucks!!

I am repaying the FTHB credit as well. I was expecting my refund 2/25 and WMR said by March 1 forever. This past Wed it changed to code 1301 which just means return processing beyond the 3 weeks. I called the IRS yet again today after still not receiving my refund and I was told hopefully by next Friday the 11th. WMR still shows code 1301 for me but hoping that will update on Wed. :)
