How much does it cost to replace the springs in a garage door?

How much will it cost to replace a drivers side door on a renault clio 55plate, i crashed into one today?

  • Very gutted :( Im a new driver so Im not going to go through insurance as my excess is £600 and my dad will lose his no claims etc.. Ive offered to pay the full costs of the renault clio 55plate front door, ive had a quote from a ford garage for £663 to fit the door and paint it etc Am i being ripped off,. but I dont want to go to anywhere dodgy either it has to be a reputable garage? How much roughly to cost and paint the door?

    Get a few quotes from different places but if you are paying it cash you'll need to hope the owner is a nice person, the repair will be at their discretion, ie. its up to them who fixes the car. £663 doesnt sound far wrong to be honest from a main dealership, try an insurance approved repair centre but I think you'll find its much the same.

That sounds pretty cheap to be honest...I'd have expected more. I would argue that you don't get to pick the garage at all...the owner of the damaged car does.

It would be down to the owner to choose the repairer he prefers in these circumstances, but I'd say what you've been quoted is pretty fair.

Paint the door your looking on what £100 to £200 max to bye the door £300 to £400 max check around at a local garage yellow pages is a good resource lol but main dealers all ways charge that little extra!
