Ideas on what to send my boyfriend who is in the Navy for Valentines day?

  • I need some ideas on what to send my boyfriend who is the navy for Valentines day! Hes over seas in the middle east and we wont be together for valentines day and we haven't seen each other in 2 months so far. He said he will try to send me something over to but he doesn't know what and either do I. Hes home sick cuz this is his first time away for 6 months and I want it to be special to show how much I love him and miss him. Hes so worried that im gonna lose feelings for him and i want to show that im not...anyone has any ideas would you please help me!!

  • Answer:

Make him a video tape! Gather up everyone he knows and just make a little video of each of them saying how much they miss him and wishing him good luck etc. Like for example, so see him mother and just do a litle interview with his mother and let he say I miss you, come home safe, I cant wait for you to get back, etc. I think that would be a very nice gift.

Since he is homesick, send him a bunch of little things that will remind him of home, and things that he enjoyed while he was home. favorite magazines, pictures of family and friends, his favorite cookies a CD of music you both enjoyed together(or an ipod). you get the idea.

That's a hard situation to be in. I was deployed for 6 months when our baby was 7 months old so I know how hard it is! One of the things my husband and I did was take a video on our digital cameras and burn it onto a disk. I wouldn't suggest sending anything naughty so you don't risk getting him into trouble. Come up with a poem or just something sweet to say and get it onto a CD. If you are good with PowerPoint make a slide show of special times and memories you shared. One of the things I spent my down time doing was making up word searches with words that made me think of him and words I knew would remind my husband of special trips or dates we had. Homemade shows you put thought and love into it =o) Cookies are never a bad idea either, especially if they are heart shaped ;o) Good luck and hang in there! It's not easy and we found that distance really does make the heart stronger if you really do love each other! Thank him for his service for us and thank you for supporting him!

"Just send him a care-package filled with things like some of his favorite magazines, some under-garments, maybe a cd or an ipod so he could listen to music etc."

You could send him a care package with all the things the guys need over there..there are lists on the internet of things soldiers in the middle east can use.. things like sunscreen were on the list. Along with that.. I just read a great article about giving a star as a gift. you can read about it here:http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/thoughtful-valentine-gift.html You could write a romantic note about how you can both look to the sky every night and think of each other.. that way you would have something practical and something romantic and the cost would be reasonable. Hope it helps you. Be so proud that your boyfriend is serving the country.. we are all so thankful for men like him.

My husband deployed two weeks before Valentines Day last year so I sent him a box with I love you writing all over it and candy and even reasons why I loved him.... I forgot most the stuff I just googled cute love surprises and got several suggestions but what I remember the most was sending him my pink underwear and a cute valentines picture frame with a picture of me wearing just those panties..of course I had our wedding picture in front of it and in the letter I wrote him I told him to check behind the picture...He still talks about it to this day...lol and he brought the under wear back on leave so I could show them to him again! He comes home this week. Its not easy going a year without the person you love but if you both work at it everyday and stay faithful time will go by fast! Good Luck!
