What does it mean to have a Valentine?

I asked her to be my valentine but what did her response mean, please read?

• During school I decided I wanted to ask her, during the last class of the day I text her asking what class she was in so I could talk to her. She replied with about 5 minutes of class left and I left early to go find her. When the bell wrang I found her and we talked for a few minutes. Then I began to say... "so..." and that's when things got awkward since I think she knew what I was going to ask. Her face looked a little bit worried but after about two seconds I said "will you be my valentine?" her response was "yes" but she also continued to say that I was her second valentine, the other was some guy who asked earlier today. Then she respectfully said she had to go since her bus was here. What does this mean, I've liked her for a while and I finally worked up the courage to ask her. But I'm afraid that she believes being someones valentine isn't anythingserious. We are both juniors in high school and have known each other for a year and a half

  well its not something serious anyway, if u want it to be u should try and work up the courage to ask her out. but it doesnt sound like shes one to take valentines day seriously either, or shes just used to be asking that. I rly dont think she was rejecting u or anything, she probably didnt know what to say herself. and the fact that u were her second valentine doesnt mean anything, their rly aren't "second valentines" but she might have said yes to u cuz she wanted to be honest with u. she probably was happy u asked her and wanted to say yes, but wanted to be honest and so she told u she already said yes to someone. I could be wrong ofc, but I am a girl if that helps, if i was in her situation I probably would have handled it this way. hope this helps
