What should I make for my parents for Valentine's day?

I am 12 years old and i want to plan an easy meal for my parents on valentines day what should i make?

  • It will be very romantic but remember, it needs to be easy. Not expensive

  • Answer:

If you don't want to do sphaggetti, you could make a breakfast dinner... like heartshaped pancakes and strawberries and pink pudding or whipped cream... yummy! That is so cool you're doing that for them!

Gee, that's nice! Depends on what they like, you know. Chili is pretty simple to make and relatively cheap. How about spaghetti and meatballs?

Cereal. Haha just kidding. You could do like the other person said, spagetti. Or you could do ummmm some sort of soup.

Hamburger Helper. All you ned to do is buy the meat to go with it. They have a lot of things to choose from and are very easy to make.

That is so sweet of you! Why not try a pasta dish? Pasta is very economical and easy to make. What is your budget? For under $10 you could make this meal with some precooked shrimp and toss it in with some linguine. All you need to do is warm the shrimp up in a pan with some olive oil, add some diced tomatoes (can or fresh), a little bit of chopped garlic (or garlic powder), and a pinch of salt. Toss it all together with the pasta. Put it on a plate and top it with some ground pepper and a little chopped basil. You could also substitute chicken or canned clams in this recipe depending on your budget. If that doesn't sound good to you, check out the packet mixes at the grocery store. Knorr has some great seasoning packets that you can mix in with pasta (and a little butter or milk) and you can add any kind of meat you want to it. I'm sure whatever you make, your parents will love it!

I agree with the spaghetti answer: 1. Boil Noodles 2. Brown meat (or you can go meatless) 3. Buy Spaghetti Sauce (Prego is the best AND cheap) 4. Serve by candle light you are too sweet!

You are such a sweet child!! Your parents should be very proud of you... and I am sure that they are. But, I have a 12 year old child myself. I really do not think that you should be using the stove or oven without adult supervision. Your parents will love whatever you do for them.

thats a very thoughtful idea., i would try spaghetti, or any other type of pasta. it is simple and romantic. or you could try a stew or soup. you could also try making a dessert, and make sure the setting is romantic! good luck, and have fun!

Aww, you are the sweetest kid ever! I'm sure your parents will appreciate whatever you make. But here are a few ideas. I'd go meatless on the meals, since you have little experience cooking. Try this receipe for baked ziti. It's a little more time consuming than spaghetti, but more filling, and relatively simple to make. Here are the instructions: Ingredients 1 pound ziti, rigatoni, or penne 1 medium onion, chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 14 ounce can whole tomatoes 1 cup ricotta cheese 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated 1/3 cup parsley, chopped 1/2 Tbs dried basil (or 1/4 cup fresh, shredded) 1/2 Tbs dried oregano black pepper, freshly ground 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 olive oil 1/4 cup bread crumbs Directions Cook the ziti to just before al dente. Coat a 9'x12" baking dish with olive oil. Set aside. In a skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Don't let the garlic brown. Crush the tomatoes with your hands and add to the skillet. Add in the juice from the can. Cook for 3-5 minutes. In a large bowl mix the ricotta and mozarella cheeses. Add the parsley, basil, oregano, salt, red pepper, a few grinds of pepper, and mix. Add the tomato-onion mixture and mix well. When the ziti is drained add to the cheese mixture and toss well to coat the pasta. Spoon the mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese on top of the pasta. Bake at 400F for 20-30 minutes, or until lightly browned. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
