What are the best Valentine's day ideas you've heard or tried?

  • This could be for yourself if you are single, for your significant other, or for family members (my parents used to give us Valentine's day cards). If you hate Valentine's Day (let's be honest: Hallmark and chocolatiers probably made it popular), what would make you not hate Valentine's Day?

    Here's one that may take some courage. Picture youself 5 or 10 or even 20 years from now. Make a video as if you're already that much older and list the things you appreciate about your significant other. (Get your partner to do it too). Highlight your accomplishments as a couple, the good times you've cherished, the obstacles you've overcome, those sorts of things. MAKE PREDICTIONS - but refer to them in an historical sense. Hell, name your kids and describe them while you're at it. Be as creative as possible and include your current wishes and dreams (and fears) as if you've already lived them. Most importantly, be honest. Now, seal the videos in an envelope until such time has passed and view them together. Prepare to be amazed. (My parents actually did this - only on paper - as young adults. I can't tell you how magnificent it was to get a glimpse into who they were as people in their early twenties). Hall of Fame stuff. Now as far as liking or disliking Valentine's Day - I must admit that I've never had a problem with it because it happens to be my birthday. PS: sorry I "scrubbed" your nickname. Still love it though.

You can get your partner a couple ring with both your names engraved on it. Or something like a keychain that you both can have which can let your partner been constantly reminded of you. the weather is right, have a picnic under the stars and tell her cute stuff all night and be really romantic. well, get him/her lol a box of chocolate, classic. u could take them to a dinner, maybe a movie,or u could cook at home and snuggle up on the coach wit a good movie. (DON'T FORGET TO SAY,"I ♥U!") Fill his/ her whole bedroom closet, garage, coat closet, car, drawer, bathroom cabinet, linen closet, etc. with balloons. Candle light dinner in a nice posh restaurant, dress elegant. Roses, chocolates as a gift too. dont wanna be rude but how about you cover your bed with rose petals, and wear something smashing. and rent a movie perhaps. And do what pleases your partner. you could pretend that valentines isnt big deal and you are not going to do anything. And voila surprise how about you write a letter? Write all about how much you love. Or how about give it to him in a bottle, wine bottle will do!, to keep the tradition alive Or or or You could go to a church!!!
