Help with Valentine's Day?

Not dating her yet. Ladies, valentines day question help?

This girl gave me her number and I plan on calling her so we can go out on a date. I know this saturday is valentines day so if I take her out this saturday does it mean I have to treat it as if we are going out on a valentines day date (like get her something small) or should I treat it as if we were going on an regular date and not even think as if its valentines day? I haven't met this girl but once when we exchanged phone numbers. I know getting something small for her is a nice gesture but don't know her well yet and don't want to make it weird. Also what would be something nice to do on valentines day considering my situation explained above? Hope you ladies can help me. Thank you! Also im 23 if that helps when giving ideas for valentines dates

I think you should choose another date for your first date. If you take her to dinner on VD wherever you go the theme is going to be all about LOVE and since you're nowhere near there I think it will be awkward for the both of you. Just my opinion...but I wish you luck ;)
