What should I prepare for a prom?

What do i need to prepare or notice for a prom?

• Some friends and I plan to organize a prom, mainly is for our graduating seniors, to have an unforgettable great memories here. How do we make this a success? We already have the following few in mind; red carpet photo-taking; buffet dinner; some performances; king-queen voting; slow-soft dance and end with fast rock dance. What else should we include in to make it more interesting?

  Okay. Here goes. You want people to BRING THEIR INVITATIONS. It'll make them feel...important if they have to turn something in to get into your exclusive party. If it's on facebook/if you don't have invitations, make a guest list, and have someone in a suit check it off. Make your dad do this. Make your older cousin do this. It just feels more...VIP-ish then. You know what's awesome? Those photo booth things where you can take pics with friends and they print them off. You can just google 'photo booth wedding/event' and a whole bunch will come up. It depends on your budget though-they cost around $2,500-$3,600 Make sure you have someone with a camera, or just an extra camera, there to take pictures. That way, if some girl/guy forgets their camera, they're saved! And be sure to put all pictures taken on Facebook/MySpace. That way, people will be like "WHAT AN AWESOME PROM!" If you have an extra camera, or just a cheap $5 with a flash, you can pass it around and have people take pictures. This is a really great idea, especially if you don't get a photobooth. Make sure to have drinks. Faux wine-bubbly water, sparkling juice, or just mountain dew, people are going to get hot and sweaty. You MUST HAVE DRINKS. If it's outside: Hang lights, drape streamers, make sure you have a tent/patio in case it rains, make sure there's a place for the DJ/iPod dock. Inside: Make sure the room sounds good with music in it-like when you sing in the shower, it sounds awesome because of the acoustics. When you sing in a very carpeted area? BLAH. Test it out by bringing your iPod Deck. Hang streamers-lights if possible, have places where girls can leave their shoes, make sure you have a fan blowing in a corner. Crazy dancers need those. MUSIC!!!! If you have facebook, make an event page for your prom. Tell people to REQUEST MUSIC on the wall of the fb page. That way, you can have every song that is wanted at the party, which'll be a blast(: I think that's about it.
