Do you deep fry your Thanksgiving turkey?
-
-
Answer:
W did one this year. It was fantastic. NOT greasy at all ! Let me see? 4 - 8 hrs of baking, or 45 mins in the fryer? Update - Frying a turkey does NOT make it dry. In fact, the one we fried this past Thanksgiving was one of the most moist I have ever had. As far as smelling hot oil goes, do you mean the bird or the house? Either way I can answer. The bird did NOT smell like hot oil at all, in fact it smelled wonderful ! As far as the house goes, it COULD NOT smell of hot oil, as they fryer is used outdoors. Update again! Just thawed out the leftovers, made homemade turkey soup....Was the best I have EVER made.

Baked it overnight in a covered container. No muss, no fuss, no smell of hot oil and it was moist with a thin crunch coating.

No, we don't fry it. Baking is the best tasting, and the best for you.

yes.deep frying is the ONLY way to cook turkey unless you like it dry.

well, if you want to cook faster, then fry it. but the oil and all the grease isn't good for you. i suggest baking, much more healthier and it's not dry when you eat it.
