How to recover deleted bookmarks in Yahoo MyWeb?

  • After reading a news about New Yahoo Bookmarks services, I decided to give it a try at http://new.bookmarks.yahoo.com/. First I imported my bookmarks from Yahoo MyWeb 2.0 account, and playing with Yahoo Bookmarks a little. Then I decided to delete bookmarks in Yahoo bookmarks in order to import it again. Suddenly, when I try to import from Yahoo MyWeb, the import button is disappeared, and more than 200 bookmarks (with saved copy) in Yahoo MyWeb also disappeared. It turns out that Yahoo bookmark and Yahoo MyWeb share the same database of bookmark in the back-end, and I've lost nearly every articles I collected in the last six months. Is there anyone know how to recover my collection?

    The new Yahoo! Bookmarks and MyWeb share the same data repository, so if you add/delete from one, it will have the same affect in the other. Sounds like you might have imported your old Yahoo! Bookmarks first, but deleted bookmarks that you originally saved in MyWeb since there is no way to import MyWeb bookmarks. The product has been updated and now has a warning for all MyWeb users that if you delete a bookmark from Bookmarks, it will also be deleted from MyWeb.

The new Y! Bookmarks and MyWeb share the same repository for their bookmarks -- what shows up in one will show up in the other. What's deleted from one will be deleted from the other. As far as I know, the only way to recover these would be if you had made a backup first.
