a page that want me to sign the computer on again. My second problem is every time I go on my e-mail page I get a pop up that says yahoo is not connect you click on the popup and the sign in page comes up again and sometime it let you sign in but the popup comes up again. It takes forever to check your e-mail. I think both these problem are related and due to some type of setting conflict. [email protected]

Answer:
It definitely sounds like settings problems, especially since it is a new computer. The obviously easy solution would be a System Restore to a point in time before you made any changes for Home Page and mail settings. In Windows 7 (yours probably), go to All Programs > Accessories > System Tools >System Restore > Next. You may have to check the box at the bottom to show more Restore Points to choose. (Fortunately, Win 7 labels them for you to show what changes were made.) A re-boot may be necessary afterward. Then remember to manually update your security programs immediately. Reset your Home Page, even if it is the same. For any browser and any web page: 1. Navigate to the page you wish to use. If it is a mail page, do NOT sign in. 2. Go to Tools, then Internet Options (IE) or Options (FF). In Chrome, it's the gear wrench, not Tools. For IE 9 And Firefox 4 to 7, open the menu bar by right-clicking in the address bar. (or click Alt) 3. Select the first tab or section (Main or General). 4. Select the option 'Use Current' page. (In Firefox, you can also 'Use Bookmark'.) - OR drag the icon to the Home button (looks like a house) and drop it there. - OR type in the URL address completely - http://www.*****.com 5. Confirm. The new 'Regular' Mail is very problematic for many, for a variety of reasons. Not all solutions for reverting to Classic Mail work for all computer set-ups. That's why I have included several solutions. The first is the easiest, and thanks to user Barbara for her research for this one. https://sites.google.com/site/classicyastuff (includes screenshots for clarity!) Once you save a new bookmark/favorite, be sure to delete the old one that isn't working well for you. 1. FINALLY, Yahoo has a new Help page with a direct link to switching back to Classic Mail! This Help page link and solution are new, and a permanent change. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/context/migrationv2.html Direct quote from Yahoo's new Help page link: "What if I don’t want to upgrade to the newest version of Yahoo! Mail? We strongly encourage you to upgrade so that you can experience all of the exciting new benefits that Yahoo! Mail has to offer. However, if you do not want to upgrade, please 'click here' [IN BLUE] to use Yahoo! Mail Classic." 2. You must use one of the following links each time you open your mail - save the Bookmark as a Favorite. (If your account is registered in another country other than the US, the links should be changed to your country abbreviation.) Use them every time you visit Yahoo Mail, and you will get the Classic version! http://mrd.mail.yahoo.com/switchclassic http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/welcome http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launch

Mine does that too I think it is a yahoo thing, it does it sometimes then it doesn't do it for a while and so on... I and many people have had a lot of trouble with the new mail, maybe that was part of the problem. Here is what happened to me and this is what I did maybe this can help you. I use Internet Explorer and could not find a solution to switch back to Classic Mail permanently after 2 days of pulling my hair out lots of problems! I have not found links work permanently, I went to CONTACT YAHOO CUSTOMER CARE, then clicked on LIVE CHAT, told them my old computer can not handle it, and they switched me back 5 to10 min. total, no problem, and they do not prompt me to switch anymore! You can also call Yahoo USA, but you will wait forever! 1-866-562-7219. Don’t forget to vote for best answer. Anyway Good Luck!
