Can I use my temporary ID?

Is there any other ID I can use or any other way to get temporary id?

I passed my driving test last Tuesday and therefore have sent off my provisional licence, only thing is I have also just applied for a new passport and I am still waiting for them both to come through. But its my 20th birthday this week and i plan to go out wednesday, I will get id'd as i look young. Is there any way of getting temporary id or anything else i could use?
Answer:

It is possible however many places will only accept.... Driving License or Passport - or the Proveit Card which probable needs... driving license or passport (or birth certificate), plus a signature from someone and will take loger than a week to come. 20th birthday - why not a few quiet drinks on the wednesday - mid week and a big night out in a couple of weeks when you get ID back?
