How do you change the layout of the yahoo homepage?

Why did yahoo change my homepage layout?

  • Nov 10 home page layout changed moving local news, weather, adding topics not wanted. Says NEW at top but don't want NEW!

  • Answer:

    Can't say why, exactly, but after complaining, I received this from Yahoo Homepage Customer Care today: "Unfortunately, the 'Move News to top' feature and the 'Page Options' link have been removed from the Yahoo! Homepage and are no longer available. Please be assured that I have forwarded your input regarding this change to our product team for their review." The only answer seems to be to complain to Yahoo Customer Service. Maybe if enough of us complain....

They also added the Mail preview to the top right, Place your cursor on the envelope and a list of your recent email show. Place your cursor on your email address next to the envelope and the Options list drops down. Compact view and moving the news was discontinued a few weeks ago. Yahoo is always changing and rearranging things to suit themselves. They think it's more convenient for us.

I'll bet, Yahoo, in an effort to re-arrange advertising to increase intensity - versatility, redid your page and mine. After all it is offered free except for the very aggravating and speed hungry ads. It won't be long before we'll have a little window for mail and loads of flashing disturbing distractions to help you through your page. In the name of money!
