Is Quebec still part of Canada?

Why does Quebec have it own category in Yahoo International, last time I checked it was still part of Canada?

  • Answer:

Programmers are not political science students. Quebec is the only province where French is the only official language, although several others are bi-lingual, as is the entire country legally. (New Brunswick, Ontario and Manitoba.) Texas of course is still English legally. Regional dialects in both Quebec and other French-speaking countries could be a major problem in communication, which is why it is given a separate category. It SHOULD be Canada - French, but that distinction is not part of Yahoo's finesse. (Yes, I am bi-lingual, but not from Quebec.)

Every Canadian I've talked to said they'd be just as fine if Quebec wasn't a part of Canada. Maybe Yahoo's just being nice.
