What is some good upbeat gymnastic music? (for level 7?

In the uk what time does music have to stop being played at a loud level?

  • could someone please tell me what time it is that music has to be turned down to a reasonable level at in the uk? My next door neighbour has had their music on full blast everynight until 6am for the past week and i am sick of it im heavily pregnant and cant sleep other neighbours have complained to but we cant seem to find the information on the law of this anywhere we are sure there is one. Many thanks in advance.

    It is 11pm. You need to keep a diary of the noise and record the whole thing. Then report the incident to the Council who will send you diary sheets which you need to fill out for a couple of weeks, and they will send inspectors to witness the noise themselves a couple of times as well. The Council will order the neighbours to reduce the noise or they can remove the sterio equipment forcibly if they do not comply. This does take time. The Council would have to get a court order to remove the equipment but in the end the neighbours have to realise that their behaviour is unacceptable.

its 11pm, and you can call your local police regarding noise disturbance. make a diary of all incidents to provide as evidence of nuisances.

Besides the law, if your neighbour is in social housing - or even possibly private rented - there will be a clause in their tenancy agreement against causing nuisance to other residents. Take it up with their landlord, and in the meantime keep a diary of the incidents - this is essential.

its 11 pm i believe, used to be 10, contact your local housing office, there are laws against this, the anti social behaviour team in conjuction with the police have the powers to stop it permanently

10 till 10 sun -sat. you can have it loud at weekend within reason, either am Friday till Sunday

Get in touch with your local environmental health department. If you are down in England, there are councils who have legal powers to enter a property and sieze (presumably expensive) equipment used to make excessive noise nuisance. According to the highway code, It is illegal for a car to sound its horn between the hours of 11pm to 6am, inappropriately and without good reason.
