How do you upload a picture onto y!a?

Is there a reason why Y!A Wont let me change profile picture?

• I had enough of this blank avatar. But Y!A wont let me change picture. Before it let me upload the picture and crop it, then when I selected it nothing happened. I tried today and its telling me that the picture im uploading isn't even a JPG or PNG file, even though it is and Its a pic I used on past accounts. What is up with YA?

  There is no specific reason, but many users have had difficulty changing their avatars, or having the avatars post recently. Sometimes the images fail to post, and sometimes they do not take effect for a day or two. Most Yahoo glitches work themselves out after a short while, so be patient. It is probably yet another 'maintenance on the site' issue. Nothing you can do about it yourself. (Ribbit)
