How do I customize my yahoo home page?

How do I customize the featured news on my Yahoo! home page?

  • It seems like lately, all I see in the "featured" area of my Yahoo home page is sports info, which I don't need nor care about. In fact the pictures of sweaty guys yelling is not something I want to wake up to when I start my Yahoo every morning. Isn't it possible to customize my Yahoo home page to eliminate a particular news category, such as sports?

  • Answer:

Go to Add Content at upper left of your My Yahoo! page. Then choose News under Browse by Topic. If you desire make a choice under Browse by Category within News. Next, click the title if you want to preview a selection. Click ADD for each news choice and click Finished when done. VOILA! Sports news is gone!!

I also want to do this but can't find a link or anything. Yahoo made a big deal about users being able to customize their home page but it must be limited to only certain things.
