On yahoo personals, how do I set it up to where people can IM me?

I see some profiles have IM ME or Email ONLY. I don't see where I can set preferences. How do I set it to IM? Or do I have to be a member for people to IM me?

go to www.yahoo.com and search messanger. than, there should be a choice to download it. do that, then you useyou yahoo name and pass to log on and talk to your friends
