How do I change my alias before I enter a yahoo messenger chat room?

When I go to the option "Enter Chat room as" it only lets me select the beginning of my e-mail address. HELP!

Answer:
You must make a new profile ( select from Messenger drop down menu under MY PROFILES) .....make yourself a new name and then you can select from your old name and your new one next time you enter the chat room. You can make several new profiles if you wish. Oh, and you need to log out and back into messenger before you can activate them.
