Why does Yahoo, a company on the ropes, drag itself further down with huge full page popup advertisements?

Starting today, I have noticed that every time I open my browser to the Yahoo Canada page, a full page popup comes up. It is bad enough that they have replaced our profiles so that we can't even see responses to our comments and started to use an Update email that is full of links that Yahoo can't seem to find. Are you trying to drive us away? Does someone get a huge bonus if you make your stocks worthless. Everyday you work hard to drive us to Google.

The way that Yahoo makes money is bey selling online advertising space. Yahoo makes NO MONEY FROM YA or from hosting FREE e-mail boxes. There would be NO YAHOO WITHOUT ONLINE ADVERTISEMENTS.
