Why does my Yahoo Favorites list keep reverting back to the default list of Yahoo sites?
-
I sign in and check off the box to keep me signed in for 2 weeks ...and after visiting a couple of sites, I go back to the Home Page to find that my list of favorites is gone and the default list is back. What's up with that? I never sign out, yet my list keeps disappearing, unless I sign in again.

Answer:
It's most likely a browser security setting. If your browser is set to not keep cookies then it doesn't matter what you tell Yahoo! to do, the Y! cookie will be dumped and you'll be signed out when you leave Yahoo!. It's also possibly a setting in any malware apps you may be running, those too can be configured to block or delete cookies. This would have the same effect, your Y! preference when logging in would be ignored.
