Why does Yahoo take me to a page and in the middle of reading it, I get switched to a URL to long page?

Why does Yahoo take me to a page and in the middle of reading it, I get switched to a URL too long page? Sometimes I just hit the back button and it goes right back to the page that Yahoo says the URL is to long on. Sometimes that doesn't work and I have to fight over and over to get back to the page that I was reading on Yahoo before it switched to the URL to long page. How can it be too long if it had already been shown, only to be switched to the URL too long page?

Maybe you have a virus in your system. I would run a virus scan.
