Is there any way to change back to classic Yahoo homepage?

Switching to "old" Yahoo homepage?

  • I hate, and I mean "HATE", the "new" Yahoo homepage! It's slower to load and it's unappealing to the eyes. They finally added the link on the bottom of the screen to "switch to the old page", but it doesn't work!!! I've been trying it for the past two days and it just reloads the new page! I'm ready to lose my mind! Is there some other way to switch it back??? Is there a way to contact the head-honchos at Yahoo because I really wish they'd fire the idiots who keep changing the homepage, therefore I'd love to voice my complaints to them! I'm ready to just toss Yahoo to the wind and use AOL or Google and not deal with these fools continually trying to change the homepage. Obviously, since there were so many other attempts and each time they kept going back to the old, you'd think they'd realize people don't want their stinking new page! Sorry for the venting, but I'm really frustrated that I can't get the old page back! Thanks!

This is the link to temporary switch back to the old Yahoo homepage until it retires on September 1, 2006: http://www.yahoo.com/old.html

Yes I agree but Yahoo is going to retire the old page on September 1st and it will be impossible to get the old page back that's why the link doesn't work. Now once someone switches to the new Yahoo page it's permanent. Sorry to tell you that cause I agree with you the new Yahoo page just isn't as good. But I guess that's our opinion.

Yes, it looks like the old Yahoo home page is being retired for good this time. For all of you who are upset with the new page there is a feedback page for you: http://surveylink.yahoo.com/wix/p1204554.aspx?source=500 I don't know if you can use it repeatedly, but you could try. If enough people complain, changes may be made to the page. I think the reason most pages are "updated" is to get rid of weak links that are easy to hack and to keep the page more appealing to new users. Hope this helps, good luck.
