How do I make a Yahoo avatar and change my Yahoo Answers pic to it?

    Go to your Yahoo Answers profile at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about Click on 'Update photo or avatar' and a small window will open. To add a new cartoon avatar click on 'Customize avatar' which will take you to http://avatars.yahoo.com There are many many choices in styles appearances and colors - you can save more than one choice, for later use. Remember to SAVE it (or each one). Select the picture (avatar), Click 'Use picture', then Save and Exit. There are many choices to be made, but remember to save your final choice. For Answers, only the head and shoulders appear, since Answers avatars must be square (costumes and background do not show well.) To add a new photo avatar click on 'Add photo'. Click Browse to select the image you want to use, using Browse for files ... and open (save) it. After clicking 'Use selected photo', be sure to click 'Submit'. Yahoo has set restrictions on the size of files allowed: .jpg or.png, square and under 10 MB. Be certain any photo is brightly lit, and a close-up. (Your avatar will not show on Yahoo! Answers if you have set your profile to private.)

try changing to IE to create the avatar you can return to firefox later. You could create either a cartoon or photo avatar Cartoon, this way is fast, straight forward and easy. Go below, create your avatar and save. Then, click your current default avatar then click edit my preferences and you will see where to check use avatar. http://avatars.yahoo.com/ Photo Click on your current avatar then click edit my preferences to the right of your default avatar click update photo. Follow the prompts to upload it from your pc. Note: Ensure that your pulse profile isn't set to private . To fix that. Click your avatar, click view pulse click settings top line. Under privacy click manage privacy settings uncheck hide my profile Click save
