How come the avatar makeover on yahoo messenger won't work?

i am puzzled as to why it stops when it's nearly loaded. it's confusing to say the least.

Sometimes it takes a couple of days for it to change because of Yahoo system glitches. I have that problem a great deal when using my Yahoo avatar on my 360, it took three days before it finally changed. On messenger the problem doesn't seem to last as long. I have had problems switching my avatar there a few times myself.
