  • Answer:

Hi Sanjeev, We want to help resolve this issue for you, but please note that Yahoo! Answers is not a dedicated support forum. Yahoo! Answers is a forum for users to ask and answer the questions of other users. Because Yahoo! Answers is a public forum we cannot discuss account specific details. There are 2 reason you may see a renewal charge for a domain that you have transferred to another provider. Reason 1. You transferred your domain to another provider, but you did not cancel your account. Because domains can be registered with one company, but pointed to and managed by another company, simply transferring your domain does not cancel your service. After transferring your domain to a new provider you must log in to your account and cancel your service to avoid further charges. Instructions for canceling your service can be found at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/cancel/cancel-01.html Reason 2. You transferred your domain after your renewal date. If you have waited until after your renewal date to start the transfer process, then we have already renewed your domain for another year, the new year of registration will transfer with your domain to your new provider. Hopefully this clears up any confusion you may have. If you would like to discuss your account with us please contact us at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/contactus
