What happened to my personalized Yahoo?

I am being prevented or denied access to Yahoo News web pages. What do you think has happened?

I have just lost the ability to access news links from a Yahoo News web page on my PC using the chosen default browser (Internet Explorer). From Yahoo UK Home, I can follow the links by pointing the mouse at a link and, when the mouse pointer turns to a hand, I can select the link by clicking a highlighted text as usual. So, from Yahoo UK Home, I can get into a Yahoo News web page. However, from Yahoo News, on my computer, I am now being prevented or denied access to links that take me to other Yahoo News web pages. That is, in a Yahoo News web page, I can still get to: other links in the Related Content section of the news web page. links that go to other Yahoo Services articles such as articles from Yahoo Life Style or Yahoo Finance,Yahoo Movies etc. return to Yahoo UK home page from Yahoo News. However from a Yahoo News web page I am unable : to follow a link to another (unrelated) news article web page. to follow a a link to a sub-category such as Politics, Comment, Business, Technology, Health, Science, Ireland, Europe, USA, Asia, and so on. The mouse pointer changes into a hand cursor, I double-click and nothing happens. There is no waiting involved, it just behaves like there is no link there. What do you think has happened and what can be done about it? Thank you.
