How do I revert to the classical yahoo homepage?

I don't like the new Yahoo homepage - how can I restore the good old Classic Yahoo ?

  • Hello, I clicked on the "try new Yahoo" link on my computer, and now I'm stuck with this so-called new Yahoo homepage, which I hate. It seems to me that not all hope is lost, because on another computer, I can still access the good-old Yahoo homepage. Can someone kindly tell me how I can restore the good old Yahoo homepage on my computer (which is running Windows XP). I promise not to click on the "try new Yahoo" thing ever again. Yahoo should kindly put a "Restore nice old Yahoo" link prominently on the top of "new" Yahoo page, if they don't want an exodus of Yahoo fans to Google or some other place. Thanks very much!

  • Answer:

FEW WAYS TO RESTORE GOOD-OLD CLASSIC YAHOO HOME-PAGE Method 1. Click on the link “Return to Classic Yahoo.com” at the bottom right corner of the new Yahoo homepage. Method 2. Manually set http://www.yahoo.com/classic as your homepage (in Tools -> Internet Options). This way, you may not have to do anything else, until yahoo gets rid of the Classic. Method 3. Clear the Cookies (or Browsing History) in your internet browser program. (Technically, you only need to remove any cookies from yahoo.com, if you know how to do that). Remember that deleting Cookies will require you to re-login to websites that previously “remembered” your username & password. Advanced users may just block the cookies from m.www.yahoo.com. * All these methods will work only as long as Yahoo provides the Classic (2006?) homepage as an option. I certainly hope that they'll do, as the new (2009) Yahoo homepage seems to have a disreputation similar to the Windows "Vista" .
