Where can you get text alerts on Yahoo?

What are y-alerts? Why do I get them when I'm not subscribed to any service?

  • I keep receiving messages on my Blackberry: 501 y-alerts My carrier confirmed that I am NOT subscribed to any alerts services through them. I checked my yahoo and confirmed I am not subscribed for alerts. What gives?? I don't have a text message plan and therefore I get charges .5 per message. I know that's not alot of money, but I object to paying for something that I am not requesting.

    You should double check alerts.yahoo.com on the My Alerts tab when logged in as the user to which your blackberry is registered. If you don't see anything there, you may want to contact customer care.
