What do I do if my xbox 360 will not read a disk?

Xbox 360 "cant read disk" error?

• i will be playin any Cod game and in the middle of the game the popup will say "cant read disk---clean with soft cloth" but all other game work any ideas?

  It could be just that the disc is scratched. Try doing as it says and clean it with peroxide and a soft cloth, wiping from the middle to the edges carefully. If you bought it used or have played it alot odds are that at some point it can become damaged. If cleaning it does not help, there's not really anything you can do other than trading it in for a new one. You could also try taking it to a place that buffers them and that usually fixes it. I've also heard that you can even use toothpaste, but I don't advise this. It's strange. I've had this same problem with a number of COD discs...
