Yahoo Message Group/Board - How do I get "Invite to 360" sign ...?

  • Yahoo Message Groups/Board - How do I get "Invite to 360" sign - the Greeen Plus sigh - under my name??? I see it with others, but not mine. I do notice that if a user clicks on my name the user is directed to my 360 site. But I'd like the "Green Plus" sign under my name! Thanks!!!! (I belong to a Yahoo Group and this is for when my name is posted. - This is for Berner-L site.) Would love to have friends on my 360 site w/ same interest - Any other suggestions? Thanks!!!! Paige

  • Answer:

Go to the search page on your 360.There you click on photos and visit their page,If you have things in common ,and you want them for a friend, click on the plus to send invitation' {{ The plus sign under your photo is for other people to invite you }} On the left of your search page typr in age group, male, female and loction. And every time you click on a photo, leave comments,Quick or blog comments. You also can page hop. This is when you are on another person's page ,you can click on their friends photos ,so on and so on.And the plus on your page is for others to use,you can not do this to your self. Good Luck

First, your green plus (under your profile picture) isn't visible to you when you are in your "My Page" unless you click on the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" at the top right of your 360 "My Page. You can also make sure that you fully invite friends and vice versa: Click the "Settings" link on top right. Click "Alerts" on the left side of that page. Check the "Mailbox" box. If you want, check the e-mail box under "Deliver to:" and put an e-mail address. Ask your friends to do the same. KEY POINT: Go to "Communications Settings" on that page (top left). Make sure that those settings are on the correct category for the person that's trying to send you an invitation. (Can go to "My Friends" page to check on that). You invite them and they should invite you. Everyone should accept each other's invitation. If you put an e-mail address in the Deliver to: area, the invite will go that address as well. If not, it will only be in your Yahoo 360 "Mailbox" (shown at the top with the rest of links). If everyone is connected to each other, then you will see a "blue person icon" next to their name under the "Contacts" box (left side, bottom) on your 360 "Home" page. If you see a green cross, either one of you hasn't accepted (or sent) an invitation. That can happen if you click the "Add" link under a person's profile picture on their 360 page, but the other person did not do the same for you. If you see no icon, no invite has been accepted on either side. You can have up to 300 connections, but only 100 outstanding invitations at once. If you want to LOOK FOR FRIENDS of the same interest: At the top of your 360 space is a "Search" link. You can find blogs that skew toward what you're looking for there. You can search for people via nickname or search for subjects via keywords. That page and also your "Home" page lists "Interesting Pages" as well. Also, click on the Answers categories on the left and go to those sections. Scope out people answering questions on those topics, then click on their avatar and check out 360 profile, if they have it listed. If you find anyone you like (anywhere), then click on the "Add" link under their picture on their 360 page. Send them a message, introduce yourself, and see if they want to add you as well (to be fully connected as a friend). Good luck!
